Day 1 : ARRIVE SAN FRANCISCO (2 NIGHTS)
Welcome to the City by the Bay. Take your transfer to the hotel, perfectly situated right on the Embarcadero waterfront. Gather with your Travel Director and fellow adventure-seekers for a Kick-off Party at 6 p.m.

Day 2 : SAN FRANCISCO SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME
Let’s see if you’ll leave your heart in this great city. See the many city sights, including Pier 39’s sea lions, known as the “Sea Lebrities” and so much more. Explore the Cable Car Museum, a Cultural Insight, and celebration of San Francisco’s rail transit history, focused on exploring the positive impacts streetcars and cable cars have made on the quality of urban life in this great city. One of the most exciting spots in town is the California Academy of Sciences—an aquarium, planetarium and natural history museum all rolled into one. You’ll be among the 40,000 creatures that creep, crawl, fly, slither, waddle and swim in this one-of-a-kind museum. Dinner this evening is a delicious Chinese Regional Meal in Chinatown. But first, stop by for a Cultural Insight at the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory. You’re in luck—these famous treats are as fresh as they come.

Day 3 : SAN FRANCISCO – BASS LAKE (2 NIGHTS)
Today, gear up for a tour of the Jelly Belly Factory. See the real working candy factory, a Cultural Insight, where over 150 different sweet treats are created. Learn the secrets of the legendary jelly bean, and discover why it takes more than a week to make a single bean. Then visit a local fruit farm and sample honey, butters, mustards and jams locally havested and produced in California’s plentiful valley. Enjoy a picnic lunch of freshly harvested ingredients at the fruit farm before arriving at Bass Lake.

Day 4 : YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Yosemite National Park is awesome. You and your wide-eyed compadres are introduced to Yosemite Valley’s most famous icons as you ride aboard a private open-air tram while a Local Specialist gives you the scoop on the park’s history, geology, and plant and animal life. Be sure to take the easy hike to the Yosemite Falls, the tallest waterfall in the United States. This afternoon is free to pursue your own interests. You might want to take a bike ride on 12 miles (20 kilometres) of paved trail, or attend one of the many ranger presentations offered daily. Your Travel Director will be on hand to help you plan your day. This evening enjoy dinner at the resort.

Day 5 : BASS LAKE – MONTEREY (3 NIGHTS)
The morning is free to enjoy all that Bass Lake has to offer.  Travel on to Monterey, where John Steinbeck’s life and work come alive at Cannery Row and Fisherman’s Wharf. Explore the Farmer’s Market at Old Monterey within steps of your hotel, where you can travel the world in just three blocks, finding arts and crafts, handmade jewelry, furniture, clothing, international food, organic produce, flowers, and pastries from vendors all over California, selling certified and organic certified produce.

Day 6 : MONTEREY SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME
This morning, your choice sightseeing gives you an opportunity to take a bike around the city of Monterey and explore or a private behind-the-scenes look at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. This exciting tour gives you a chance to interact with staff and see sea otters in a whole new way. Afterward, enjoy free time to take in the aquarium’s various exhibits at your own pace.  Later, when approaching the breathtaking California coast, look out for the Lone Cypress Tree along 17-Mile Drive, a stunning coastline rich in marine life and beautiful mansions. Drive along the top-ranked Pebble Beach Golf Links and wonder how anyone can focus on their swing with such amazing views to distract them before sitting down to a delicious dinner.

Day 7 : SANTA CRUZ EXCURSION
After breakfast spend the morning walking the historic Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, one of the last great seaside amusement parks in the United States.  Walk the wide sandy beach along Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary spanning the boardwark or enjoy the rides, games and lively arcades. Use your included “My Boardwalk Card” to purchase tickets to ride the Giant Dipper, a wooden roller coaster built in 1924 or the Looff Carousel built in 1911 and both named National Historic Landmarks. In the afternoon, hang ten at the Santa Cruz Surfing Museum. Tonight, gather up the gang for a fun Farewell Dinner.

Day 8 : MONTEREY – SILICON VALLEY – DEPART SAN FRANCISCO
Heading inland toward the Silicon Valley visit the Tech Museum of Innovation. Explore all the hands on exhibits before concluding your amazing California adventure. A transfer will take you to San Francisco International Airport and, for guests extending their stay, back to the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco.
