Switzerland : 10 nights/ 11 days – Itinerary 

Day 1: Arrival Geneva: Geneva – Wengen: Geneva – Wengen – 4 hrs by train On arrival at Geneva airport, proceed to the station and take the train to Wengen. Check in. Overnight in Wengen.

Day 2: Wengen at leisure.

Day 3: Wengen – Zermatt – Matterhorn excursion: Wengen – Zermatt – 3.15 hrs by train Since 1979, the cable car has boldly made its way from the Trockener Steg to the Klein Matterhorn station, cut out of the rockface 50 metres below the summit. The Zermatt Bergbahnen AG take the visitors comfortably from the village of Zermatt to the highest mountain station in Europe. After an impressive ride with the Matterhorn Express – gondola without change to the station Trockener Steg – continue with the remarkable cable car to Matterhorn glacier paradise. With only three masts and a distance of almost three kilometres without support, the 100-person cable car glides directly to the summit wall. The highlights of the Peak Matterhorn glacier paradise are the following: Cinema Lounge with exciting film scenes, an observation deck with 360-degrees panoramic views, a glacier palace with sculptures and an ice chute, a restaurant with Peak Shop and accommodations for mountaineers with minergie-P standard.

Views: The highest observation deck in the Alps offers an unbelievable 360-degree panorama with views of 38 four-thousand meter peaks and 14 glaciers of the French, Italian and Swiss Alps. The Mont Blanc – highest mountain in Europe – appears close enough to touch. The Jungfrau in the distance radiates its particular beauty

Attractions: Cinema Lounge, Europe’s highest observation platform, glacier palace with sculptures and ice chute, restaurant with Peak Shop and accommodations for mountaineers with minergie-P standard, Peak Shop with summit souvenirs and the highest storage of summit wine in Europe. Day 4: Swiss Miniatur park and Lugano: Wengen – Lugano – 5.14 hrs by train Lugano: Lugano lies in a bay on the northern side of Lake Lugano, surrounded by numerous mountains offering splendid viewpoints. The traffic-free historic town centre, the numerous buildings in Italianate Lombardy style, the exclusive museums, the mountains, lake and a packed calendar of events all invite visitors to see the sights, soak up the atmosphere – and enjoy “dolce far niente”. Thanks to its mild climate, Lugano is a popular tourist destination in the spring when the camellias are in bloom. Swissminiature, a 7 min train ride from Lugano, is Switzerland on a smaller scale. There are 120 models of houses, castles and monuments in the open air, distributed throughout the 14,000 square meter park. The models have been recreated authentically – with great attention to detail – and are surrounded by thousands of plants and flowers.

Day 5: Optional Glacier 3000 excursion / Day free to explore Montreux on your own: Glacier 3000 excursion: Wengen – Montreux – 3.5 hrs by train A trip to the “Les Diablerets” massif today is full of experiences: cableways, architecture, adventures and Alpine views. The cable car runs from Col du Pillon to the striking “Glacier 3000” mountain station, where leisurely snowshoe hikes, the impressive “Peak Walk” suspension bridge and the “Alpine Coaster” toboggan run await. Already on arrival the spectacular Glacier 3000 mountain station by architect Mario Botta amazes you. And suddenly you face a panoramic summit view of 24 snow-capped giants (4000 meters and more), including the Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau, Matterhorn, Grand Combin and famous Mont Blanc. Diverse activities are at your fingertips on the Tsanfleuron glacial plateau: Alpine Coaster with ten curves and thrilling 520-degree circle, dog sleds and snow-bus rides, cross-country skiing in the middle of summer, safe hikes over the Firn snow to the Quille du Diable, remarkable rock head and a round-tour via Cabane de Prarochet to the Sanetsch Pass and on direction Gsteig. Montreux: Montreux Riviera stretches along Lake Geneva from Lutry to Villeneuve. Blessed by a Mediterranean climate, this region features historic castles, vibrant towns, lovely countryside and charming hotels – making it the ideal destination for dream holidays as well as demanding business trips. Lavaux vineyard, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2007, is the jewel of Montreux Riviera. Its terraced vines, dating from the 12th century, make up some of the loveliest countryside in Switzerland. Its wine-growing villages offer outstanding hospitality, especially in the vintners’ cellars. The majestic panorama at Rochersde-Naye, the peaceful Grangettes nature reserve and the fields of blooming narcissus in May number among Montreux Riviera’s many natural attractions. The region’s history comes to life inside the walls of Chillon Castle, where the secrets of an eventful mediaeval past are revealed; visitors can also relive the more recent Belle Epoque era on board a CGN (Lake Geneva General Navigation Company) steamer or at one of the luxurious hotels in Montreux or Vevey. Overnight in Wengen.

Day 6: Wengen – Interlaken: Optional activities: Wengen – Interlaken – 51 mins by train Proceed to Interlaken and enjoy a brief tour on your own. You can enjoy many optional activities paragliding, sky diving etc.

Day 7: Wengen – Interlaken – Excursion to Mt. Jungfraujoch: Breakfast & proceed for an excursion to Jungfraujoch- Top of Europe. This memorable train trip from takes you via Lauterbrunnen and Wengen to the Kleine Scheidegg, at the foot of the famous Eiger North Wall. Then ascent by the Jungfrau Railway to the magnificent mountain world of eternal ice and snow, Jungfraujoch-at 3454m, the highest railway station in Europe. Attractions include the beautiful Ice Palace, the Sphinx, Observation building overlooking the Aletsch Glacier, husky – drawn sledge rides and the Snow Disk Run. Also adventure activities such as Flying Fox, Glacier Trek and Kiss the Glacier are extremely popular. Overnight in Interlaken.

Day 8: Wengen – Lucerne – Excursion to Mt. Titlis: Wengen – Lucerne – 3 hrs by train World’s First Revolving Cable car: Travel from Engelberg, an hour away from Lucerne, to Mount Titlis- a unique snow and glacier paradise and the highest mountain excursion in central Switzerland. The journey over the imposing Titlis glacier is made even more spectacular – thanks to Rotair. During the five minute journey the Titlis Rotair cabins revolve once, thereby offering you a fascinating 360° panoramic view. Other highlights at Titlis include The Fun Lift, Ice Flyer Chair Lift, the Glacier Grotto, Panorama and Video room – the Toporama, Glacier Path – Stotzig Egg Trail, Nostalgic Photo Studio, Souvenir Shop and of course skiing and snowboarding all year round. Evening enjoy Lucerne orientation tour and later proceed to Zurich. Enjoy a scenic coach ride over the Albis Pass and along the shores of Lake Lucerne. Upon arrival, a short city tour will introduce you to Lucerne’s main highlights including the Lion Monument, Chapel Bridge and the new Concert and Congress Hall. Overnight in Lucerne.

Day 9: Wengen at leisure.

Day 10: Wengen – Zurich by train: Trolley tour: Check out and proceed to the station for your train to Zurich. Wengen – Zurich – 3 hrs by train Afternoon enjoy Zurich trolley tour. Put a twist on traditional sightseeing in Zurich, and discover the city aboard the Zurich trolley! A vintage replica of an old-style streetcar, the trolley benefits from an open-air rear design that allows you to clearly see the sights. Sit back, listen to audio commentary, and admire the Church of Our Lady (Fraumunster), Limmatquai district, Bahnhofstrasse, hillside villas and soaring Alpine peaks. It’s an experience ideal for those short on time, who want to see the city in a unique way. Choose a start time to suit your schedule, and hop aboard Zurich’s old-fashioned trolley at the Sihlquai Bus Terminal in central Zurich to begin your tour. The trolley is designed and built like a streetcar from a bygone era, but with all the comforts that today’s discerning traveler would expect. Take a window seat, or perhaps sit at the rear to enjoy open-air views. The rear windows can also be closed with a plastic cover in case of rain or cold weather. While listening to fun facts and entertaining commentary from your audio guide, take in top city attractions including Church of Our Lady (Fraumunster) with its beautiful stained-glass windows, pretty Limmatquai, the university district, Bahnhofstrasse — widely considered one of the world’s most exciting shopping districts — and many of Zurich’s finest museums. Travel through Munster Square in Zurich Old Town and admire the traditional architecture you find there. Marvel at beautiful hillside villas on the Zurichberg and take in panoramic views of soaring Alpine peaks from your vantage point by the lakeside. After roughly 1.5-2 hours exploring Zurich by classic trolley, your tour will come to an end at the start point in central Zurich. Overnight in Zurich.

Day 11: Depart Zurich: Proceed to the airport.
