Day 1 :

Narita / Haneda Airport – Tokyo

Upon arrival at Narita Airport, transfer your accommodation in Tokyo. Overnight saty in Tokyo.

Day 2 :

Tokyo

Morning tour of Tokyo. Enjoy a panoramic view of Japan’s capital from Tokyo Tower’s main observatory followed by a short stop at the Imperial Palace Plaza. You will then stop at Asakusa Kannon Temple, the oldest and most popular Buddhist Temple in Tokyo where you can stroll down the Nakamise Shopping Arcade for souvenirs. The tour will disband at Akihabara or Tokyo Station where you will have the afternoon free and make your own way back to your hotel. This afternoon is a good opportunity to go to a JR (Japan Railway) Ticket Office (Midori no madoguchi) to exchange your voucher for the Japan Rail Pass.

Day 3 :

Tokyo – Himeji – Hiroshima

This morning make your way to Shinagawa Station. Board the famous Shinkansen Bullet Train to Himeji. In Himeji visit the World Heritage listed Himeji Castle and Koko-en Gardens. Return to the station and continue onto Hiroshima by Shinkansen Bullet Train. Overnight stay in Hiroshima.

Day 4 :

Hiroshima

Full day free to explore Hiroshima city. Points of interest here include Miyajima Island and the Itsukushima Shinto Shrine, the Hiroshima Atomic Bomb Dome (both World Heritage listed) and the Peace Memorial Museum.

Day 5 :

Hiroshima – Kyoto

Depart in the morning for Kyoto by Shinkansen Bullet Train. Upon arrival in Kyoto you are free to explore the city. Overnight stay im Kyoto.

Day 6 :

Kyoto – Nara – Kyoto

Morning sightseeing of Kyoto, visiting the Golden Pavilion, Nijo Castle and Kyoto Imperial Palace. After Lunch, travel to Nara, visiting Todaiji Temple housing the great Buddha, Nara Park where many tame deer are freely roaming, colorful Kasuga Shrine, with 3,000 lanterns and then returning to Kyoto. Overnight at Kyoto Hotel.

Day 7 :

Kyoto – Tokyo – Narita Airport

Free until departure. Depart from Kyoto by Shinkansen bullet train to Tokyo Station. Change to the Narita Express train for Narita Airport. You can also finish this package in Kyoto and return to Kansai Airport.
